Street Snap Project
in Los Angeles
As a self project, I’ve posting street snaps on Instagram account called “WÜLT” which showcases my passion about music and fashion through my design.
I believe that music and fashion have a strong cultural Link. The relationship between music and fashion significant means of creativity and self-expression in our society and culture. This project was all started by my curiosity as a music/fashion lover. The aim is to make audiences meet new songs and genres through fashion and styles.
ロサンゼルスにて、音楽とファッションを融合したストリートスナップのアカウントをインスタグラムで運営しています。ファッションと音楽は切っても切り離せない関係にあると考えており、自分自身が以前から疑問に思っていた「スタイルがクールな人は何を聴いているんだろう？」という問いから始まったアカウントです。インスタグラムのカルーセル機能を使用し、スタイル写真の次のページに今その人が「何の曲を聞いているのか」が視聴できるアカウントとしてページを設計しています。

I have 13 years of experience as a DJ in Tokyo and Los Angeles,
Played as an opening act for artists, record labels such as Stone Throw Records, HW&W Records, DIM MAK, Soulection, Diplo, Gold Link, Baauer, RL Grime, MALAA..etc, Also worked with Companies / Brands such as Stussy, DOLLSKILL, NYLON Magazine, Champion, Pioneer.
Digging into new genres and music always gives me joy. Mixing good songs is another creative way to express myself. To hype up the floor, DJs are required to instantly pick up the tastes of crowds and select songs whether they want a stylish sound, or if they want a song everyone knows...
It is necessary to decide by looking at the character and atmosphere of the space with the crowds on the day.
The judgment ability to grasp the client's habits and preferences, also the requirements for instantaneous presentation skills are common ways in both DJ and design. The skill that I cultivated from that time as a club DJ, made me confident to work with clients in graphic design as well.
東京、ロサンゼルスでDJとしても活動しています。日本では、海外アーティストの日本ツアーにてオープニングアクトを数多くこなし、レコードレーベル、ブランド、マガジンのパーティーやフェスティバルなどに出演してきました。
フロアを盛り上げるためには即座に観客の好みを汲み取り、スタイリッシュなサウンドを求めているのか、それとも誰もが知っている曲を求めているのかを瞬発的に判断し選曲していく必要があります。クラブDJ時代に培った、当日の客層の好みや雰囲気を把握する判断力や、瞬時にプレゼンテーションを行うスキルは、グラフィックデザイナーとしてクライアントと仕事をする上でも活かされています。
